Meet Zak of Hero’s Embrace
We are seeking pilot schools for Phase One of the Hero’s Embrace App development.
Every IEP team knows the gap: skills a child masters in a session don't always show up in the hallway, the classroom, or at home.
Hero's Embrace is a free 12-week pilot that gives your team a tool built to close it and a seat at the table in shaping what comes next.
Meet Zak, the AI companion inside Hero's Embrace, a quest-based app built for kids whose brains work differently: kids with FASD, autism, ADHD, and trauma-related differences. Zak isn't a generic chatbot. He's designed around one core idea: kids with these profiles don't need to be told to “try harder.” They need safe, repeatable practice the kind that turns “I know what to do” into “I actually did it.”
Inside the app, kids move through story quests using a simple rhythm: Build, Solve, Reflect to practice real skills like emotional regulation and executive function in a space where no choice is ever coded as a failure. Every session ends with a plain-language Transfer Moment Debrief, so parents, teachers, and therapists work from the same playbook rather than piecing together fragments.
Hero's Embrace isn't built to replace your team or a child's IEP. It's built to extend your reach: filling the practice gap between sessions and rolling up into a shared IEP snapshot so the whole team sees the same picture of how a child is really doing, not just what happened in the room with you. This includes the team’s shared IEP snapshot, such as their profile, grade, needed services, interventions, and coping strategies, to name a few.
We're honest about where we are: Hero's Embrace is entering its Phase I pilot, not a finished, validated program. That's exactly why we need partner schools, real classrooms, real kids, and real feedback to build something that actually works before we scale it.
We're recruiting 30–40 students (ages 8–12, 10–12 per school) across a small group of districts for a 12-week pilot, two sessions a week. No cost to your school. No disruption to existing IEP services. Every participating school helps shape what Hero's Embrace becomes next.
Bring Hero's Embrace to your students and join the pilot school. Please fill out the form below.
